Loetz - Cobalt cased with enamel florettes

This vase dates from about 1920's and was made by Loetz and enameled with a florette pattern. Loetz could have enameled this themselves or sent it out in bulk for decorating. The glass is basically white then cased in cobalt. This technique intensifies the blue and makes it more indigo or royal blue. The pontil is as perfect as a magnifying glass. This shape is typical of Loetz and comes in many decors.
