VINTAGE GE ALARM CLOCK Model # 7268 A

I just picked up this General Electric Alarm Clock that was made in the USA and is in working condition... the only thing I can't seem to find online about it is why the clock I have has a black clock face/background but all of the ones I see online are (off)white... was this a special edition? Or was it just a differentiation from the model.

Can someone please let me know what the difference is between the two, and why I can't seem to find any other black faced clocks like the one I have?
