I obtained this snuff bottle from my mother. I don't know anything about it. I was hoping that someone could tell me what its made out of, how old it might be and if its even real. I have tried to do research on this one and others I have but I just can't find anything specific on the ones that I have. The one pictured is about 2 1/2 inches tall and I don't see any type of markings on it, that is about all I know. Thank you and I hope someone can help me soon.

Thank you Jim that helps me out a lot. And yes sarahoff I was quite embarrassed when she gave me the snuff bottle.
