    this was my great-grandfathers pocket watch. I inherited it but can't find any information that matches this watch. I know the company was started back in the 1850's and were sold to Civil War soldiers. Does anyone know any more about this subject?

      radjames, if you can get the back open, you will see a serial number on the works of the watch, not the inside of the case.

      This website can give you call the information on that serial number. Go to the second link at the left that says "Serial Number" and input it on the page that comes up. If you have a problem with the database, post the serial number here.
