HOYA Japan Glass Ashtray

This ashtray is quite indicative of products produced by Hoya before they stopped making crystal for the consumer.

Smoked glass crystal, simple but clever design, and beautifully ground and finished.

The ashtray is small at 8cm (3in) and would be for one person (probably on their desk). Typically for Japanese ashtrays it has a very defined cigarette rest.

Acid etched "HOYA" to the base, and "Hoya Crystal Tokyo Japan" sticker on the side.
