      These come in clear,cobalt blue ,green and opal glass bottom has a date in the 187o.These can be found for sale on e bay.

      You can find this lamp in the book "Miniature Lamps" by Frank R. and Ruth E. Smith. page 47, figure 29. The caption say's "Pictured in C. M. Linningtons catalog 'Silent Salesman' for Jan 1894 $1.41 per dozen." Also I believe they actually came with nutmeg inside.
