Recently acquired from an Estate sale and doing research to see if I can date the vase and confirm that it is Noritake. It is unmarked except for paper labels on the bottom; one has no markings and the other in Japanese, which has been read as “number of a patent" or "Japanese
published examined application". The number below the Japanese writing is 1 or 2 8488. I would appreciate any information you might be able to share.

Why do you think it's Noritake? No stamp; almost all Nippon/Noritake was marked. Noritake was actually a distributer; they sold items made by several different companies. Looks much older than that to me. After the 1880s, items were required to have country of origin on them if they were for export. Japan used Nippon until about 1910, when the different Japanese manufacturers started putting their names on the pieces & "Made in japan" . Perhaps it's from mid 1800s? Sure is gorgeous!!
Pretty. And appears Old. Old Porcelain.? But wait, the base doesn't impress as an antiquity. DM? :-)
hello Dragonmum and flea. Thanks for your posts. I appreciate your information. A friend of mine suspected that it was Noritake, but I needed proof as I will be selling it.
