      Are Bakelite bangles marked so that you know
      they are Bakelite?

      Not as far as I know These ones for sale are celluloid and the others have a very heavy brass inlay in carnelian and faux ivory inlayed in panels.Bakelite make a resounding clunking sound when hit together plastic does not as it is lighter and has no ring at all
