Conoco age

I'm not sure the actual age of this Conoco sign but thought it was early 70s or maybe late 60s? I found this up in Wyoming and it was attached to the frame and I didn't have my screw drill to take it apart & the guy wanted the sign frame. I went back three times but it was always covered with snow or too dark so I couldn't get it. Finally we got it by simply pulling the hinge pins! Hello!!! Sometimes the easiest things totally escape us & old age isn't helping with this at all! Today I think we found a good spot to display this guy. We shall see tomorrow. Today we spent the morning digging another footing for a big 6' sign we've been waiting to stand. They are a real pain to dig but you can't go too deep in our experience.
