    This post shows the base and inside top opening of mosaic vase/ vessel and might provide the clues for an experienced eye. There is also extensive fine crazing on body and also each of the coloured stones/ crystal rock used.

      Hmmm...no marks or it may have just worn away. The crackle finish could be age related or applied on purpose but the foot rim looks to have some age. I'll still guess Japanese though. The decoration at the neck has the fabric panel medallions that you see on Japanese Imari. I think the large design on the side is a stylized Phoenix. This might also be a type of Satsuma. So many design elements on one piece. It sure is interesting !

      Mike does the glaze look Satsuma to you? It does a bit to me but your knowledge here is way above mine. Looks an age too.

      Thanks again for comments Mike and racer4four. I do believe the crackle is authentic from ageing. The little mark on base could be a little mark or remains of signature. X
