Brooch pin came from my Grandparents estate- alot of elephant items probably due to being active Republicans from the 1930's-1960's. It is 2.25" square, weighs 1 oz., gold toned non-magnetic metal, amber colored stone, and has no stamp or markings on the reverse side. Very nicely detailed piece and well made. I hope that someone who views this item can share more information about what this is.

That's a beauty! Kyratango can tell you the age based on that c-clasp. The stone is well set, too.

It's done in the style of Czech jewelry from the first part of the 20th century. It could very well be period but I'm hesitant to date it by photos since all of a sudden there has been so many pieces in that style popping up recently.

I have a piece that has to be made by the same person. the clasp and metal are identical. I have been trying to research it. I will post it very soon.
