Bulova "Doug Corrigan"

Hi, this watch dates to 1939 and was named after Douglas Corrigan, the man who filed a flight from NY to his home in California, but "accidentally" went to Dublin, Ireland instead!
Corrigan, who had several times applied for a TransAtlantic crossing but had been denied, was a fan of Charles Lindbergh and was actually one of the mechanics who helped prepare the "Spirit Of St. Louis" Ryan monoplane for Lindbergh's historical flight in 1927.
His own flight to Dublin on 17th. July, 1938 earned him the nickname "Wrong-Way Corrigan".

The Bulova watch created in his honour is 10kt. gold filled, with a 10AE 17 jewel movement. Although mostly found without their original swing lug attachment, I found something similar which suits it well, fits and feels nice on the wrist too.
