I believe these are welding glasses but i'm not sure. their is a small chip on the glasses that don't effect vision. Got them from my grandfather. I think they are very cool.

I dunno Dave. I'd want something a lot darker than those for welding. And I'd want something with metal frames, not tortoise-shell colored plastic. These look like motoring glasses from the early 20th C.
There are "welding goggles" on the site you reference that don't have any color at all! Obviously they are just safety glasses for use with machine shop equipment.
