    Bought this knife at an estate sale. Have no clue what type of knife this is. Has a wooden outside with a LS on one side of blade. No other markings. Have been told it is an 1800's leather working knife tool. Anynone know?

      Nice old knife, the long marlinspike was for undoing knots in wet rope on board ships/boats.
      It looks to have been bent a little at the point.
      It looks to have quite some age, probably early 1900's or earlier.

      it does look like a rope rigging knife. does the marlin spike blade lock some how ?
