This may be a cake dish, again I am looking for insight on this item. It appears to be hand painted and has fold trim and leaves on plate. Also feel pretty sure it is from the 1950's or maybe very early 60's. It does have a number 7343C on the pottom of plate and base
It’s a compote ( or comport) for serving fruit/ sweetmeats. A cake stand isn’t as curved on the edge. The gold raised relief details are often referred to as moriage work. Probably made in Japan in the 1950-60’s
