Native American Depression Era Thunderbird Necklace 1940's

This beaded Native American (possible Santo Domingo Pueblo) Necklace belonged to my Great Uncle who purchased it new when he first moved to Reno, Nevada in the late 1940's.

I remember as a little girl feeling special whenever I was allowed to wear it. Decades ago, I wrapped it up and have treated it like my own museum piece.
