I have recently purchased this Lane buffet. I would like some help if anyone knew what line it was a part of? Also I have the style and serial number and I know for Lane products you just read the ser # backwards to get the date but mine isn't making sense. Style: 305.66 Ser No- 3670919 (not sure about that last nine but I think that's it.

The lane company were famous for their cedar chests. This piece of yours has the date of 66 or 1966. Not a buffet but a side cabinet.

Just curious, what makes this a side cabinet and not a buffet? I also thought the date was determined by the serial number?

A buffet might have a drawer for silverware, also it hold china.
