      Hi there,

You posted this over 2 months ago so my apologies for the late reply, I just came across this post today.

Very nice group of photos, shame they almost were lost forever in the bin.

I collect to the Winnipeg Grenadiers but I haven't seen many pictures online of them on the journey to Kiska, never mind come across actual photographs. Sad to see the picture of the fallen soldiers, but it is a great picture. I also like the one with the four Grenadiers standing in the snow on a hill.

Such a nice grouping, can't make out all of the writing, and know all of the details but such these photos tell a great story and I'm sure they go nicely in your collection.

Again sorry for the late reply but as a Winnipeg Grenadiers collector (among other regiments) I was really happy to see this group so thank you for saving it, and sharing it.

      Best regards,

      -Jamie

      Thanks Jamie,
Send me your email and I will send you more scans. I have more than a hundred photos of training here and deployed overseas.

Thanks for saving and posting the pictures. A relative of mine served with the Winnipeg Grenadiers in Kiska and I haven't seen many photos of this operation.
