Hi! This thing was recently given to me by my mom, who said that she used it to mash carrots and potatoes for me just like her mom and grandma both did. That's all I really know about it but would greatly appreciate any information anyone might have! It's driving me crazy.
The maker's mark says "Manning Bowman & co Meriden, Conn. Banana Creamer Patent App For"
I cant find another one! Babies and bananas got together ...wonder if its just what it says it is, or a general baby food masher?
Hi, it's been 2 years since you wrote the above but I just saw it and created an account to reply.
It's a banana masher that my grandmother used to use back in the 50's to mash bananas for banana bread. I now have it but it's in much better condition. Very shiny. I wish I could take a pic of it but I don't see how I can add one to this thread. :)
