Was looking for a period mantel clock for my home and bought this one at a local auction in December 2013 for £66.00. It was described as a "Mahogany balloon-shaped mantel clock with key" Inside it says "Made in France" and the initials "S" (I think, see picture) and "F". Apart from that I know absolutely nothing about it and, in spite of trawling the internet and antique shops, have not seen another one that looks the same. If anyone can throw any light on my mystery clock, it would be very much appreciated!

S and F is Slow and Fast. If the clock runs too fast, you move the little bar above it toward the S, and vice versa.
