    I am trying to find out what this item is, not sure whether it is an old toy or an old tool. I made out of cast Iron and it appears to have prewar german markings.

      It appears to me, that if anything that swivels on the 2 side studs/trunnions, it would have to be mounted from overhead.

      Dimensions might help. How about a picture of the markings?
