I picked it up at an auction of a very old farm in Minnesota years ago. Don't know anything about it. It's extremely comfortable. The last photo shows a vague marking under the seat. It looks like an E in a diagonal oval. Would love to know style and era and even type off wood. Thanks for looking at this.

It may be around the turn of the century - hard to tell from pics. It is a mixture of styles which a lot of makers did their own style. it looks like a basket for crochel or wool work.

Very interesting to me, considering I used to raise sheep for wool. I saw a similar one on Collectors Weekly and it said it looked like from the Regency period. What do you think?

"it looks like a basket for crochel or wool work"??

In the style of a Windsor chair. Looks like a leather head piece - can you confirm please? Does it have a seat for three - for bedtime stories?

Yes, it has a hard, thick leather headpiece. Not sure what is meant by a "seat for three." It has a slight rise in the middle of he seat. Also, yes, I see the Windsor likeness. Thanks to all.
