This is really cool. It's heavy, 6 inches across and has two little felt pads on the bottom so it sits well on a shelf. I have no idea how old or what it was used for. but an asterisk is always useful!

Maybe a trivet? is it flat enough to hold a pot?
thanks share and mary. it actually has little felt pads so it's supposed to be stood up like this.
Maybe some kinda 'award/trophy/etc' for a Wal*mart employee or office??
