Copper insert is hollow around the outside, I assume giving it the ability to allow water circulate around it, thus keeping contents warm.
Can anyone confirm if this a vintage egg incubator?
If so, any further description or information is appreciated.
If not, does anyone know what this could be?
Having been a bird breeder for years I would say no, not an egg incubator. What you are showing would cause high humidity which isn't desirable. Most old incubators relied only on kerosene heat and work well to maintain the temperature which is more important than humidity. Also I don't see racks or pans for the actual eggs. I would say not an incubator for eggs. Just my 2 cents.
