Love his work - too many great books to mention but let's start with the Little House Books by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I don't have this one but I do Have the Friendly Book by MWB. Love it!
One of my favourites as a kid, along with The Color Kittens - also by Margaret Wise Brown. I really wanted to be like "the dog who belonged to himself". Funny how things can strike a chord at such an early age...BTW, I still have my childhood copy of this (& The Color Kittens).
