Modern repro of an archaic bronze Jian (mirror).
TLV mirror is a type of bronze mirror that was popular during the Han Dynasty in China. They are called TLV mirrors because symbols resembling the letters T, L, and V are engraved into them. They were produced from around the 2nd century BCE until the 2nd century CE. There are lots of repros out there however.
Excellent example! This is a well-cast late Western Han / Xin period boshanlu-style mirror—great detail in the mountain patterns and a solid typology. The only flaw is a visible crack, which is common in excavated pieces but does affect its condition. If you’d like a full breakdown of dating, authenticity, or condition assessment, feel free to message me!
