Victorian Welz cased cobalt blue controlled bubble/spatter glass basket

This interesting basket caught my attention on eBay AU, & fortunately I was able to make it mine.
The decor combines spatter with controlled bubbles, & I think it is not often seen in cobalt blue (I have a bowl with the same decor in burgundy).
The basket is made from three layers of cased glass - clear over cobalt blue spatter, with a white interior. It measures around 17 cm tall, 13 cm wide across the crimped top rim, & 6 cm across the integrally footed base. There is clear applied thorny handle twisted in a single loop. The base has a rough, snapped pontil mark, & the top rim has an eight - pointed star shape with a very fine crimp.
