Been to a few by appointment only estate sales again. Any idea as to the era (decade) of this pin? No markings. Seen a similar one on line identified as circa 1880’s lucite. Huh?

The clasp seems to be a trombone clasp. Not sure about the metal - looks too heavy for pot metal.
