Hello everyone and hope you're all having a fantastic day! I've had this sword for about 35 to 40 years now. I purchased it from my father who obtained it from an antique seller in our area in the early 1990's. I truly have no idea the type of sword this one is, nor the age or purpose of the sword. Was it for display only or a real battle time sword. Any assistance would be great and I appreciate your response in advance. Thanks so much!!!

Your pictures are really blurry and dark..but it appears the pommel is threaded on..that tells you it's not an old sword.
