The clock face has fleur de lis around the numbers and in the middle. There is a “S” inside the number 12 circle. Would like to know provenance. Can anyone maybe tell me what age it might be and who made it?

      Hi, Lvspices. :-)

      Beautiful clock.

I spy an "F" on the left side of the "12," so it would appear that the clock has the initials "F" and "S."

Unfortunately, it's still a mystery to me. :-(

CW user bruce99 is our resident clock expert, but he seems to have been quiet for some months now. I hope he's OK, and will offer an opinion on this clock.

Failing that, you might try one of the dedicated clock forums like the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors Association:

D'oh! I looked again, and it appears that there's an adjustment mechanism in the middle of the "12" circle, so the "F" and "S" probably stand for "Fast" and "Slow."
