Detex watchman's clock

Can you imagine carrying several pounds of
leather-covered mechanism as you walked around
within a large factory, and occasionally inserting a key
to prove you were at a particular location at a particular time?
That's what some night watchmen had to do, and this is that burden.
As a horological relic, it isn't bad,
but I wouldn't want the job it went with.
