    Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely interesting mug or is it a tankard , crest seems wrong way unless it’s for a left handed person, wooden base, but dark grey ceramic, I hope someone can help with more information about it

      Google Lens says it's possibly made by an outfit called Kraftware.

      Here's another on eBay; the listing is good, because the pictures include ones in which the ceramic insert has been removed:

      The most notable feature is the colorful "Aimez Verite" coat of arms, which translates from French as "Love Truth." [2, 3, 9]

      As to the positioning of the "Aimez Verite" coat-of-arms, I guess one's opinion of where it should be depends on whether the drinker wants to see it, or have other people see it. :-)
