      Good painting. I like the reflection on the water.

      I think I found the previous owner via Google Lens, but I won't link it here, because: 1) it's F-Book 2) it doesn't really shed any light on the painting.

      You're actually ahead of the game, because your WLS painting is dated, so at least you have some idea of the age of the artist when he painted it, and where he was at in his life:

      So Stevens was about 34 years old when he painted your harbor scene, and was probably still living in the Cape Ann area. He lived to a pretty ripe old age, and was prolific (about 5,000 paintings).

      I myself am crazy about that WLS picture of the village church at the cincyart link, perhaps because it looks like a palette knife painting.
