Granddad was a republican. Can you tell? hehe But Rockefeller? Oh well, as they say, politics make strange bedfellows. Don't know if the Taft is Willian Howard Taft, but it sounds good. The Hatfield is possibly Sid Hatfield, who was Chief of Police in Matewan, West Virginia, Mingo County. Sid was the Grandson of William Anderson "Devil Anse" Hatfield. But as i've always heard Sid was appointed Chief by the Mayor and didn't run for the office. But that story sounds good as well, don't ya think?? Jimbo
