I inherited this little brooch from my grandmother. After seeing a necklace of Agram, I thought it to be +/- 1880. But now I I'm not sure: the clasp seems more modern to me. It's marked silver 835 and it's about 2cm wide.
I'll always treasure it because it was my grandmother's.
So how old do you think it is?
Hello, indeed this brooch resemble my brooch very much. I can't see the clasp well. Please place another picure escpecial of this.
I don't know if you can see it now. It's the kind of mechanism in which you have to turn the little 'wheel' to secure the needle...(I don't remember the right word for it). I think it had to be a C-clasp if it were really victorian, don't you think?
You are right, that's why I wanted to see the clasp. in this case it muat be older I think the period from the 40's - 50's.
