Just brought home my latest "treasure". It's about a 1980 Heald Super Tryke. 1980 according to the engine, that I believe is original. These were made in U.S.A. by Carl Heald, and sold in kit form. You assembled them yourself. Heald sold several versions of trikes & 2 wheel minibikes as well, from about 1969 into the early 1980's. This one has an 11hp Briggs & Stratton engine with electric start. Tons of fun to ride. These are my pre-restoration pics. I'll add a couple more when it's finished.
    Thanks for looking!

8-9-12 & It's finished! I moved my "after" pics up first, and the last 2 are the "before" photos. Took about a week & a half, but the reconditioning is done & it's time to ride!
    Thanks again for looking!

I have a friend here in Mn. That has one of these in his garage. I'd like to get some information from u about these bikes. If that would be OK with you. I look forward to talking with you.

Hi, I don't really have any info on hand but there's a good bit available in the old magazine ads from the days when these kits were available. Sometimes the Healds will also come up in discussion on trike web-sties or threads. Some of the old advertising seems to have the most info & sometimes some specs.
      Thanks for the comment!

The Carl Heald Super Tryke was a popular 3-wheeler built mainly in the 1970s and early 1980s. These were designed for off-road use, featuring a robust frame, large balloon tires, and a belt-driven torque converter system. They were often powered by Tecumseh or Kohler engines, depending on the model and year.
