My mother bought this at a U.K auction in the 70s. Dunhill humidor in the fashion of their 50's aquarium lighter.
I've searched high and low on the web for similar images or info...not one pic! Does anyone know anything about it?
Dimensions: length 37cm, width 24cm, height 17cm.
Hi Bellin, I'm not 100% sure (that's why I'm fishin' for info), It doesn't seem like glass...slightly warmer, softer to the touch. No chips or cracks.
All I can say is the pics don't do it justice, the plants seem almost real (I just can't believe they're painted - like the lucite lighters) and the pinks, purples and mauves are so bright - I was with my mum when she bought it and I hated it, today it's my favourite piece. Usual black dunhill tag inside, otherwise, I can't see any other signatures, but there's a lot of area to cover on the box. I'll take a close look this week. Thanks for your interest ;-).
Thanks for link. I've never seen that kind of tag before, yours must be older.
