Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely interesting mug or is it a tankard , crest seems wrong way unless it’s for a left handed person, wooden base, but dark grey ceramic, I hope someone can help with more information about it

As to the positioning of the "Aimez Verite" coat-of-arms, I guess one's opinion of where it should be depends on whether the drinker wants to see it, or have other people see it. :-)
